In the wake of Hurricane Harvey many companies are pledging to help disaster relief efforts. Companies have pledged $141.3 million to relief efforts according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as of Friday, September 1. But individuals are also making a difference, and more encouraging is when individual donors and companies work together to maximize the relief provided.

Catholic Relief Services: With 60 years’ experience delivering humanitarian assistance throughout the world, CRS has a strong background in emergency preparedness and response. CRS works directly with affected communities and local partners to help restore and strengthen their pre-disaster capacities.
Houston Humane Society: This non-profit Pet Rescue, Pet Adoption, and Animal Shelter services the Houston area.
Islamic Relief USA: Islamic Relief USA provides relief and development in a dignified manner regardless of gender, race, or religion, and works to empower individuals in their communities and give them a voice in the world.
Save the Children: Millions of vulnerable children are at risk in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. In response, Save the Children is working around the clock to help children and families with emergency assistance during this difficult time.
Samaritan’s Purse: Samaritan’s Purse has done our utmost to follow Christ’s command by going to the aid of the world’s poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in.
UNICEF: After World War II, UNICEF was created to help children living in war–ravaged areas, and is now the world leader in providing humanitarian relief for children and their families.
World Food Program: The World Food Program is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.
World Vision: World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to work with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.
